Long version
- Sources. Open opportunities come from SAM.gov, accessed only through the official SAM.gov public API with a registered API key — not by scraping the website. Contract/award history and "re-bid" leads come from USAspending.gov. Data is public U.S. government information.
- Not affiliated. BidDesk is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the U.S. government, GSA, SAM.gov, USAspending.gov or any agency. Using BidDesk is not required to find or bid on federal opportunities; SAM.gov is free.
- No guarantee of accuracy. Government data can be late, wrong, amended or cancelled. We filter and match it automatically (e.g., by place of performance and NAICS code) and may miss or misclassify items. The official notice on SAM.gov controls.
- No guarantee of award. Including an opportunity or re-bid lead does not mean you are eligible, qualified or likely to win. Contract amounts are total obligations and may span years.
- Not advice. Nothing in BidDesk is legal, procurement, accounting or tax advice. Consult a qualified professional (e.g., your local APEX Accelerator) before bidding.
- Third-party data. Some SAM.gov entity/award records dated before April 4, 2022 contain Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) Open Data subject to D&B restrictions. BidDesk does not use D&B data and excludes such pre-April 4, 2022 D&B-derived fields.
